Chyang Fun Industry Co., Ltd. (CFI) is demonstrating their PC chassis and storage solutions with their big OEM customer, IKONIK Technology CO., Ltd. at COMPUTEX this year.
'While keeping pursuing the middle- and high-end PC chassis market and our own-brand strategy, we want to be a strong support for our customer,' says Jackson Wang, Vice President of CFI.
Other than that, the company is also highlighting their NAS (Networking Attach System) products at the show. The company is now releasing a 2 HDD NAS for entry-level users and a 4 HDD NAS with the Marvell CPU solution for SMB (Server Message Block). The company believes that their competitive pricing will bring a lot of attention at the show.
According the CFI, since its foundation in 1987, the company has successfully established four main product lines: PC chassis, IPC, Storage, and Duplicator. At COMPUTEX 2008, though these are still the four main themes at their booth, they will gradually get rid of IPC and Duplicator sectors and focus more on PC chassis and Storage solutions especially on NAS products.
Wang has a very optimistic point of view for the storage demands. 'We have huge data at our hand and some of them are video & audio files. There's no doubt that we need good storage solutions.' He also points out, 'Considering the fact that the Internet is getting faster, NAS should have good sales in the near future.'
CFI is closely eyeing the product trends in office and home use. For the office use, they found that Thin Client could start to be the spotlight this year. As for the home use, after Microsoft proposed the Home Server concept, the company has been working hard to develop the related products. Wang says, "For us, Home Server is more likely the evolution of Multi-media Center. Our lead-in will be from the existing Mini-iTX.'
Year 2008 is regarded as the transferring year for CFI. Wang addresses that in the past years, more than 80 percent of their total sales came from OEM businesses, and most of them concentrated on few customers. Since this year, the company will have more businesses from Japan, USA and Europe. 'Therefore, the risk will be spread while sales will be raised,' says Wang. |
