[Industrial Applications-Highlights] AAEON Announces Brand New Medical Vital Sign Monitoring Terminals -ONYX-174/154

These two powerful medical stations are part of the ONYX series that will focus on the power management and power backup functions.    The cutting edge design of AAEON's ONYX-174/154 features 30 minutes of power back up. They are powered by an Intel Pentium M/ Celeron M processor (up to 2.0GHz) and 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM (DDR 266/333) (up to 1GB). They are integrated with an optional smart card reader for further security. In addition, the ONYX-174/154 accommodates one PCI and one mini PCI for expansion. For expanding the storage, the 8-in-1 Card Reader and optional slim DVD/CD, 2.5" Hard Disk Drive, Smart Card Reader can be alternatives to enlarge the storage capacity. 
  
   "The most significant feature of ONYX-174/154 is the battery backup function.  This function is essential to hospital cart applications. They could last for 30 minutes if the external power supply has been shut down. For medical security purposes, the ONYX-174/154 can be integrated with Finger print scan and RFID for higher security to guard after patients' medical records and treatments. The ONYX-174/154 has been designed for practical medical demands and considerations. A few examples are: lower than 35db noise detection, Latex-free and Toxin-free outer frame design, and optional medical resistive touch screen.    The true color precision medical grade displays feature 17"/15" 16.7M high brightness and are able to view X-ray films. They adopt mini PCI card to support DICOM to Non-DICOM HL7 imaging CAM. They also deploy VGA/ DVI interfaces and optional medical resistive touch screen which is a very convenient trait. For achieving the objectives of e-Hospital, telemedicine, and improving the efficiency of medical treatments, the ONYX-174/154 can be featured with 802.11g wireless for faster data transferring. 
  
   The ONYX-174/154 has a IP-65 certified front panel and comes with professional medical certifications. Moreover, they possess a Latex-free design that allows for water/dust-resistive, anti-vibration, and anti-allergy protection.
