The new ORtek HDMI switch is the ideal solution for users wanting maximum viewing quality and comfort, but whose TV does not have enough HDMI ports.

With the growing popularity of plasma and LCD flat screen TV sets, more and more devices now offer HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) output, among them game consoles, HD HardDisk recorders, notebook computers plus Blu-ray and HD DVD players. This in turn is boosting the need for more HDMI ports on the TV, which is why ORtek is offering the HDM-1200 4 Port HDMI Switch: to enable the user to switch between four sources by means of an external switch. This handy switch puts an end to the lack of HDMI ports and constantly swapping cables.

The ORtek 4-1 HDMI switch HDM-1200 provides seamless connection between one of four HDMI sources high-definition display. It links DVD players, satellite or cable set-top boxes, etc. to one HDMI TV display through remote control or a push button. The internal circuit boosts and equalizes the HDMI signals that eliminate plugging and unplugging multiple HDTV sources.

HDM-1200 has five ports: 4-input HDMI definition receptacle connectors and 1-output HDMI definition receptacle connector. One button of the accompanying remote control turns the switch on, while the desired source is selected by pressing one of the six other buttons. The same can be done using a manual switch on the device is to switch the selected channel, which is indicated by LED.

HDM-1200 has up to 1.65Gbps signaling rate; the generated signal is uncompressed, ensuring maximum picture and sound quality. The switch also features an integrated signal amplifier, so that signal quality is maintained even when the cable length exceeds 10 metres. The switch is HDMI specification 1.2 compliant, HDCP- compatible, and supports 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p resolutions on your HDTV.

This new switch is fully Plug & Play. No driver requried. The 170 x 80 x 18mm unit has 1A current output at 5V DC. A standard package includes the HDMI switch, a 7 keys remote control, an AC adapter and a user manual.
