A storage solution and component leader, SSI Computer Corp. has launched its SATA HDD cradle and acquired lots of orders.

According to SSI, the newly developed SATA HDD cradle (SI-7908US) was launched in September 2007 and has sold about 40,000 sets. Why was this product so popular among users. "Easy, simple, and user-friendly. Those are the key points for the success! "said Ken Chen, Assistant President of SSI. The SI-7908 can directly be inserted with all 3.5" or 2.5" SATA hard drives. The design is really simple and easy to install and use hard drives.

SSI also presents its advanced screwless HDD reader enclosures, the SI-1348 RS and SI-1328 RUS. SI-1348 one-to-four SATA Port Multiplier designed to provide a high performance link between a single SATA host port and 4 SATA device ports. With its unique data aggregation capability and 3 Gbps serial link capability, the SI-1348 is able to take full advantage of 3Gbps host link bandwidth and FIS-based switching host controllers by bundling together data from device ports and sending it over the 3 Gbps host link. Virtualization engine can present many physical spindles as a single logical drive.

As for the SI-1328, it offers not only SATA to USB 2.0 but also SATA to eSATA interfaces to connect with PC. The Enclosure follows standard SATA specifications. Using the expansion port/secondary port, it is possible to cascade second generation SteelVine devices to seamlessly expand storage capacity using a daisy chain topology, BIG, JBOD, RAID0, RAID1 perfect solution for additional external storage, data backup, and for transferring data between computers and platforms. It is the best choice for SOHO, office or home use.
