As the report of MIC (Market Intelligence Center, Taiwan), an ICT industry research institute based in Taipei, shipment volume of the Taiwanese smart cellular device (including Smartphones and PDA phones) industry is forecasted to reach approximately 6.6 million and 8.4 million units respectively in the second and third quarters of 2008. Sequential growth rates are projected to reach 7.7% and 26.7% in these two quarters, while year-on-year growth rates are expected to reach 114.4% and 71.5%. |
