Performance and Style All-in-One

Shuttle Inc., the leading designer and manufacturer of small form factor (SFF) computers and accessories, will introduce an all-in-one PC, X50 as part of its all-new product line Shuttle X Vision at this year's COMPUTEX TAIPEI.  Perfectly combining touch screen and ultra-thin stylish design, X Vision represents a core value of Shuttle’s uncompromising insistence on quality, innovation, and performance.

Elegant yet space-saving, the X50 measures only 36mm thick and 3.5g weight.  With stand and handle up to 180 degrees, X50's stand can be pulled up to serve as a carrying handle. You can select bending angels from 0-180 degrees to set whatever angle works for your environment.  It is also equipped with 15.6 inches touch screen of 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1.3 megapixel webcam and microphone.

Shuttle X50 is powered by Intel's Atom 330 dual-core processor and GMA950 graphics, as well as 1G DDR2 memory, 160G SATAII 2.5" HDD, and dual-screen output support.  Packaged with an ENERGY STAR 5.0 qualified power adapter, it draws a mere 30 watts of power. The innovative Shuttle I.C.E heat pipe inside effectively dissipates heat away and keeps the system cool. With astonishing low noise at only 22dB, it is a simple and elegant sensation to operate the all-in-one X50.

Windows 7, Netbook, ULV and Calpella Converge to Give a Bright Outlook for NB Markets in the Second Half of 2009

By George Liao

The global NB market will gradually rebound in the second half of 2009, bidding goobye to the low market visibility in the first half of the year and to the shadow of getting lower orders year on year, accroding to Jane Tseng, an analyst at the Topology Research Institute (TRI). Tseng said the driving forces for the rebound will come from the four areas: (1) the official release of Windows 7 in the fourth quarter of 2009, (2) the multi-facet development of netbooks, (3) Intel’s strong push for ULV (ultra-low voltage) platform ultra-thin NB, and (4) the launch of “Calpella," Intel's next-generation NB platform, in the third quarter.
