The global NB market will gradually rebound in the second half of 2009, bidding goobye to the low market visibility in the first half of the year and to the shadow of getting lower orders year on year, accroding to Jane Tseng, an analyst at the Topology Research Institute (TRI). Tseng said the driving forces for the rebound will come from the four areas: (1) the official release of Windows 7 in the fourth quarter of 2009, (2) the multi-facet development of netbooks, (3) Intel’s strong push for ULV (ultra-low voltage) platform ultra-thin NB, and (4) the launch of “Calpella," Intel's next-generation NB platform, in the third quarter.
