Navigating the Feature-packed Future

MiTAC group member Mio Technology stands out as a leading producer of PCs and peripherals and has in recent years supplied the portable navigation device (PND) market. Through aggressive expansion that has seen the mergers of Navman and Magellan, Mio Technology has quickly landed itself a spot in the top three of the market share rankings. Moov navigation system series, launched in early 2009, marks Mios latest endeavor to go after more market share. Therefore in the upcoming COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2009, Moov series will be at the center of MiTAC/Mios promotion campaign.

In this series, Moov 700 and Moov 580, both car-use navigation systems, are cream of the crop. Moov 700 features a 7-inch touch-control LCD wide-screen panel, a built-in 3-D virtual-reality navigation map, plus a real-time traffic report function by the name Traffic Message Channel (TMC). Taking advantage of the picture-in-picture (PIP) feature, Moov 700 can display road traffic info and TV feed simultaneously, so that you can stay tuned in for traffic while having a little fun. The AV-in feature enables Moov 700 to work with digital TV, DVD player, reversing radar, and to play back movies, music, karaoke music videos, and still photos to ensure you a fun ride.

Moov 580, on the other hand, features a 4.7-inch touch-control LCD wide screen monitor, built-in MioMap software (the latest version), and real-time traffic report function. These enable the driver to steer clear of traffic jams or accidents, so as to get from point A to point B quickly and safely. And through Bluetooth function, Moov 580 can connect to Bluetooth-capable cell phones. That means with one small nudge of your finger on the screen, you can dial out a phone call and chat, hands-free, with your friend. For the info junkie, Moov 580 comes with MioMore service that allows users to look up information on-line and real-time. For example, a user can type in key words and MioMore will tell you where the hottest tourist spots are at that particular moment, plus info that may help you locate parking lots or diners when you get there.
