This
is a great breakthrough in film or video footage, handsets, portable
media players (PMP), and NBs! Micro projector technology plugs in
new life to all these products that were once hamstrung by small
screens. In fact the market surrounding micro projector applications
is now one that many end-product vendors drool over. The advent of
highly-efficient miniature LED light sources has helped
manufacturers break the technological barriers, enabling them to
produce next-generation projectors that mark significant improvement
over existing image-projecting equipment.
AIPTEK, which has pocketed certain success in delving into the
miniature projector market, recently released its pocket-size
multimedia projector PocketCinema V10 that has wasted no time in
getting the attention from across the trade. The V10 comes in the
size of an average handset and weighs only 160 grams. But don’t be
deceived by its unassuming looks since the V10 can connect to
digital still cameras (DSC), digital camcorders, handsets, DVD
players, NBs, and even Wii and with the help of a 50-inch screen
plus the stereo speaker embedded in V10, one can project photos,
video playback, music video, or PowerPoint slides hassle-free,
practically turning your living room into a home theater.
And the young at heart can play video games with large images
projected by V10 on a big screen, belying the consumer concept of
the appearance and function of a projector. The V10 boasts of an
operating interface that’s easy for users of all ages to warm up to.
It uses LED as a light source to benefit from its durability and
power efficiency. The V10 saves users the hassles of lengthened
boot-up/shut-down and poor heat dispersion commonly seen with the
traditional halogen lamps. Meanwhile its embedded lithium battery
means that users can get rid of the notorious tangled power cables
once and for all to make the projectors more portable and adaptable
to different situations.
The brilliant design of the PocketCinema V10 has won it such
critical acclaim as being included in the iF Award China 2008
Selection and being recognized with the Windows WinHEC Award 2008,
PC Achat Award for Innovation 2009, CES 2009 Innovations, and iF
Product Design 2009.
