Taiwan New Product Announcements and Int'l Press Conference held on August 30 at IFA was a great success. With "Taiwan: Brining Innovations to the World" as its theme, the event has drawn more than 50 media from home and abroad, including C't Magazine and PC WELT from Germany, Into Tomorrow from the U.S., more from Korea, U.K. and Taiwanese media such as Global Vision and Central News Agency.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Wayne W. Wu, the Deputy Chairman of TAITRA, pointed out that Taiwan ICT industry has played a trend-setting role with numerous Taiwanese brands being the leaders of their fields. This excellence goes hand in hand with the world's leading ICT procurement platformXCOMPUTEX TAIPEI, which will be held from June 2 to June 7 next year.
The presenting Taiwanese companies are from different fields in the ICT industry, ranging from FPD to notebooks, from green technology to coolers: Asus, CMO, Delta, MSI and Thermaltake. Asus talked about the Eee Family concept started by Eee PC and shared with the media the upcoming new notebook with bamboos as its design concept and material; CMO's presentation was the ultimate flat panel model that has outperformed its predecessors; Delta focused on the perfect balance between innovation, profits and corporate social responsibility; MSI, the top 5 players for motherboard in the world, spoke about the energy-saving and lightweight Wind Notebook; last but not least, Thermaltake presented their new Xpressar and V1 Cooler.
The two-hour long interviews of TAITRA and the presenting companies following the event further put Taiwan and its outstanding ICT industry under international spotlight. The event has warmed up COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2009, where all the coolest and the latest shall unveiled!
