This event has at last clobbered the perennial lack of space headache that has dogged it for years. Past shows routinely placed potential exhibitors on the dreaded dead end

All that's over since COMPUTEX TAIPEI is doubling past space by plugging in its new NANGANG Exhibition Hall with its Exhibition Hall 1,Exhibition Hall 3 of the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) and the Taipei Int'l Convention Center. That means even more manufacturers from home and abroad offering an even larger selection.
(Note: Currently 1,710 manufacturers are signed up for the show pushing booths at the venue to a record 4,482 high) The double staging areas,NANGANG EX and the HsinYi Ex Halls unfold in the 13 theme areas,including Computer Systems,IC Application,Peripheral Products and Motherboards. Other dedicated areas include Green Energy Saving,Medical Electronics,and (specially made) Low Price Computers. Advanced Facilities & Accessibility
In the warm up to COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008,NANGANG Ex has already passed two trials with its March 13th opening with Taipei CYCLE and Taipei AMPA (Taipei Auto Parts & Accessories Show). Both shows dazzled with success. Exhibition space of the NANGANG Hall is twice that of Exhibition Hall 1 of TWTC with multiple conference rooms,advanced equipment and well-equipped press center.
Wireless Internet access is enabled throughout the NANGANG Exhibition Hall and many restaurants are available,including the Western cuisine of the Grand Hyatt Taipei,the Chinese cuisine of the Holiday Hotel. Inside the exhibition hall is the business center and the TAITRA Lounge,where tea and business facilities are available,and the Islam Prayer Room,all of which are thoughtfully arranged by the organizer.
TAITRA has planned many routes for free shuttle bus service. Shuttles not only run between the HsinYi and NANGANG Halls but also between the airport and the exhibition halls. There are also seven routes operating between the exhibition halls and 32 major hotels in Taipei. These halls are near MRT Taipei City Hall Station or MRT Kunyang Station which lets you travel to the further corners of the city. And if thatĄ„s not enough at peak show hours there will be at least 20 taxis queued up and waiting to go.
Multiple Wonderful INTERACTIVE Activities
There are many innovative events at this year's show. For example,TAITRA has invited German International Forum Design (iF) that is well-reputed for its Oscar Awards in the design community to be the evaluator of the COMPUTEX TAIPEI Design and Innovation Award in order to encourage innovation and design and strike a perfect balance between innovative design and R&D manufacturing,making the best of the solid R&D background of the IT industry in Taiwan while at the same time fulfilling the spirit of innovation and design.
In addition,the summit forum will feature Green IT,where speakers from heavyweight international manufacturers are invited to deliver speeches. These include the Asia-Pacific or European Environmental Director of Hewlett-Packard to speak on Design for Environment,the Greater China Green Products Practice Director of the Sun Company will speak on ECO Innovation.
Besides showcasing excellent design products of Taiwan in the "Innovation and Design Pavilion" to enhance the position of Taiwan's industrial design in the international community,the Taiwan Design Center will hold a design forum,where brand masters from the U.S. and Holland are invited to speak in Taiwan on "Best by Design,Face to Grand Master".

Innovative WiMAX: New Industrial Hope for Taiwan
