Despite huge and dramatic falling of DRAM price in Q3, most Taiwanese memory module companies can still manage to make profit this year. Take Transcend Information, Inc. as an example, its revenue in Q3 achieved NT$ 8.967 billion, and net profit after tax reached NT$ 0.639 billion, a 6.15% growth while comparing to NT$ 0.602 billion in Q2. Furthermore, Steve Chang, Vice President at Transcend indicates that though worldwide market is facing economic recession and financial crisis, Transcend still expect slight growth in Q4 revenue due to increasing demand in Christmas and New Year.
